Commercial Vendor Information
Important Notice To Vendors and Festival Participants:
SUNDAY, July 13th - Festival END TIME:
The Duck Derby begins at 5:00 PM; the police will not open the street until
after all of the pedestrian traffic has moved away from the street and onto
the sidewalks comfortably. They determine when that is, based on the crowd
size and their movement. Safety is their responsibility.
To that end, all vendors should know 6:00 PM is when they can move cars to
Wolcott Street to Pack up and depart and NOT BEFORE. We have tried to accomodate
traffic on Wolcott Street during the derby to help vendors get away at a decent
time, but pedestrian safety by the police takes priority.
This year the 20th Annual Oatka Festival will be held on July
12th –13th, 2008. In addition to the food and craft booths, there will
again be spaces available for commercial booths and informational or organizational
booths. Commercial booth space is available for a $60.00 fee for both Saturday
and Sunday. Public information booths and organizational booths are free
ONLY if no goods are sold. The Festival prohibits the SALE of any raffle
tickets
by any group or organization. Oatka Festival reserves the right to refuse
booth space to inappropriate or controversial organizations or vendors.
Spaces are 12’ X 12’ and are assigned on a first
come, first served basis. Commercial booth space is assigned upon receipt of
the $60.00 fee. You will be sent a confirmation letter with your space noted
in mid-June. There is no electricity available. Only one business allowed per
booth. Booths may be set up on Friday night. You will be shown your location
when you arrive. There will be night security, but there is no guarantee that
items left in the booth will be safe.
If you set up your booth on Saturday morning, set-up must be
completed and all vehicles moved by 9:00 AM. Wolcott Street and Trigon Park
are closed to traffic and all vehicles must be off the street by 9:00 AM.
The parade begins promptly at 11:00 AM. Festival hours are from
10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday.
